# Our Chicago Community Service

## Our Chicago Community Service

As we want to strengthen the communities we serve beyond our moving services, Alliance Moving & Storage partners with [Habitat for Humanity Chicago](https://www.habitatchicago.org/) to support affordable housing initiatives throughout the Chicagoland area. This allows us to contribute meaningfully to housing solutions that help local families thrive. We believe that strong communities are built through shared responsibility and collective action.

We joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley to support their environmental sculpture exhibition across Chicago's northern suburbs. Our team handled all logistics for the [Sculpture Preview Party](https://habitatnfv.org/builds-events/home-planet-earth/#:~:text=Sculpture%20Preview%20Party,May%2022%2C%202025) on May 22, 2025, where artists and sponsors gathered to celebrate this unique community art project.

The exhibition featured 40 striking sculptures created by nearly 60 local artists, all following an environmental preservation theme. These pieces were displayed throughout East Dundee, West Dundee, Carpentersville, Elgin, and Barrington, drawing visitors from across Chicagoland while raising awareness for both environmental conservation and affordable housing needs.

Our role presented some interesting challenges. Many sculptures were oversized and needed to be moved through standard doorways instead of loading docks. To ensure these [delicate art installations](https://www.alliancemoving.com/cargo/antique-art-moving) arrived safely, we assigned teams of 3-4 movers per piece. After the exhibition and auction concluded, our crews also delivered the sculptures to winning bidders throughout the Chicago area.

- All proceeds from this community art project benefited Habitat's Carter Crossing initiative in Carpentersville, which focuses on environmental stewardship alongside affordable housing development. We're proud to have contributed our moving expertise to such a meaningful cause that brings together art, environment, and community.

The standard of care we bring to our community is the same standard we apply to every client. From [local moves](https://www.alliancemoving.com/local-moving) across the Chicago area to complex [long-distance relocations](https://www.alliancemoving.com/long-distance-moving-company), our mission is to deliver unparalleled service and peace of mind on every journey.
